Peter John Rossi

Peter John Rossi, 66, of South Abington Township died at his home on Friday. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Chama.

Born in Yonkers, New York, he was the son of the late Andrew and Margaret Delletto Rossi. He was a 1975 graduate of Yonkers High School and Elizabeth Seton College. Prior to his illness, he was employed in Chemical Sales at Penn Paper.

Peter's greatest accomplishment was being a father. His children meant everything to him and the time spent together brought him the greatest joy. He was a diehard Yankee and Giants fan, and lover of all sports. There wasn't a single fact about the Yankees that he didn't know. As an avid classic rock fan, he amassed an incredible collection of music throughout his life.

Surviving are son Andrew Rossi and partner Jeremy Kalinay of West Berlin, NJ; daughter Amanda Rossi of Wappingers Falls, NY; and brother-in-law John Lance of Clarks Summit.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Elisa Rossi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 2 pm at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn, pastor. Interment will be held at a later date at Pocono Lake Cemetery, Pocono Pines.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 12 noon to 1:45 pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
