Reba Joy Loomis, 87, of Auburn Twp. passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas. She is preceded by her husband of 49 years, Roger Robert Loomis in 2004.
She was born on March 15, 1938, in Forty Fort, PA.
Reba was a graduate of Forty Fort High School. She initially worked at Aldovin Dairy, where she contributed her skills and dedication. Her pursuit of opportunity led her to the Dress Factory in Tunkhannock and subsequently to Procter and Gamble, where she worked as an inspector in the lab.
She had a creative spirit and enjoyed crocheting and baking, often showcasing her talents at the Wyoming County Fair. She had a deep passion for riding horses in her younger years.
Reba attended Springville United Methodist Church. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Ladies. One of her proudest accomplishments was being a first-grade grandmother teacher at Elk Lake, an experience that highlighted her love for children and education.
She is survived by her son, Robert Loomis; daughter, Panda Loomis; grandchildren, Britany Loomis, Brandy Davis, Timothy Smith, and Carl Loomis; 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded by daughter, Penny Loomis; brothers, Forrest Jayne, Dick Loomis, Warren Loomis; sister, Avis Palmer.
Family and friends are invited to attend Reba's funeral services which will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM from the Marcho, Sheldon, and Kukuchka Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will be held in Thundering Hooves Cemetery, Auburn Twp.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.
