Richard LaBarre

Richard R. LaBarre, 81, of Tunkhannock passed away on March 2, 2023 at The Gardens, Tunkhannock. He is survived by his wife of 55 and a half years, Sally Howell LaBarre.

He was born in Nicholson on December 4, 1941. He is the son of the late Lawerance LaBarre and Addie Stryker LaBarre.

Richard retired from IBM after 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and banjo with The Airport Pickers. He loved his dog, Penny.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by brother-in-law, Raymond (Marlene) Warner; sister-in-law, Nancy Watson and Paul Yuhas; Godchild, Jessica Dougherty; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and David LaBarre; sister, Eleanor LaBarre Warner. He also had a baby girl.

Family and friends are invited in attend Richard's celebration of life service which will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 4:00pm from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Rev. Tanya Olaviany presiding.

A visitation will be held from 2:00pm until time of service on Friday.
