Richard E. Spencer, 86, of Factoryville passed away on June 8th at Regional Hospital, Scranton.

Born in Falls, he was the son of the late Clyde and Alice Spencer. He and his wife, the former Nancy Glasson, would have marked their 65th wedding anniversary on September 7th. He worked for various Chevrolet dealerships for 40 years, retiring from Abington Chevrolet. He was also involved in little league as his son played baseball. Richard loved hunting and fishing, helping people, and working on his lawnmower and always had a nice garden. He was a member of the Clarks Green United Methodist Church, Endless Mountain Power Tractor Club, and Northeastern PA Antique Truck Club of America.

Also surviving are a son, Michael Spencer and his wife Michele of Clarks Summit; and three grandchildren: Melissa, Eric, Nichole.

Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Holland.

Services will be private at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Pastor Paul Fields.

Memorial donations can be made to Clark Green United Methodist Church or Factoryville Fire Company.
