Robert G. "Flame" Faraday, Jr., 75, of Jermyn, passed away at home on June 5th.

Born on 3/22/1950 to the late Arlene Richter Faraday and Robert Faraday, Sr., Robert spent his entire adult life prior to retirement holding the steering wheel of a big truck motoring all over the USA. He was very proud of the millions of miles he drove without an accident. He retired as an owner-operator from Diamond K in 2018 after 32 years of hauling for them.

Robert was happiest either sitting on his deck with his spoiled dog or in his fishing boat, pretending to fish while motoring or floating around many different lakes. He was a man who could fix or do anything in many different fields. Robert offered his time generously to anyone who asked - always including a how-to tutorial for future reference.

Surviving are Debra Coon Faraday, his wife of 53 years; his loving daughters, Dawn Hunsinger (Robert), Tunkhannock, and Bobbi Jo Klinkel (Jeffery), Newton Township; four beautiful granddaughters to whom he was known as "Papa": Shayna Bevan (AJ), Cheyenne Wilbur (Zach), Cassidy Hunsinger (Mike), and Olivia Klinkel; six great grandchildren, who were blessings to him; brothers Gary (Margie), Arthur (Susan), and Dean (Linda); and a sister, Terry Purcell (Robin).
