Robert W. Place

Robert W. Place, 74, of Meshoppen, passed away on January 17, 2015. He was the youngest son of the late John Easton and Bessie Sullivan Place. Robert graduated from Tunkhannock High School and attended Penn State University after winning the county scholarship. He then served in the Air Force. He worked for many years in Chicago as a computer programmer and trouble shooter for Sears-Roebuck. Due to poor health he retired and lived in Black Walnut until his death. He was preceded in death by his brother David, and a sister, Agnes Decker. Robert is survived by two brothers, Eugene of Williamsport, and Lawrence of Sephyrhills, FL as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by family and friends for his quick wit and quiet ways. Due to Roberts wishes there will be no services. Arrangements entrusted to the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 W.
