Roger N. Doty

Roger N. Doty, 91, of Ransom Township, died peacefully on Monday morning at Oak Ridge Care Home, Taylor with Helen Cooper Doty, his beloved wife of almost 64 years, by his side.

Born in Chinchilla, he was the son of the late George G. Doty, Sr. and Verna Bellersheim Doty. He was a graduate of Johnson City High School and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Prior to retirement, Roger was employed as a driver for the United States Post Office. He was a member of Countryside Community Church, Newton Township.

He was a loving husband, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be missed by his family and community.

Surviving are a son, Steve Doty of Newton; a daughter, Jill Doty of Florida; grandson Gavin Doty and fiancé Erin O'Malley of Newton; granddaughter Marissa Buranich and her husband Justin of Newton; great granddaughter Charlotte Rose Buranich; brother Ronald Doty and wife Carol of Lake Winola; nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law who were more like sisters, Edie Sicher and Vernie Thompson.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George Doty.

There will be no services and arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, Clarks Summit.
