Ronald Wolbers

Ronald Wolbers, 76, of Newton Township died Monday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.  He was the widower of Beverly J. Wolbers, his wife of 53 years before her death in 2020.

Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, he was the son of the late Harold and Jenny Wolbers. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Navy and, prior to retirement, was employed as a machinist.

Ronald is survived by his sons Ronald Wolbers and wife Robin, Tunkhannock, and Chris Wolbers and fiancé Nina Fairfield, Dalton; daughter Brenda Race and fiancé Joshua Bloom, Dallas; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
