Roseann Mcdonald

Roseann McDonald, 88, of Scranton died Monday evening at Allied Hospice, Scranton. She was the widow of Harold (H) McDonald who died in 1991.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise Mullaney Gallagher. Roseann was a graduate of St. Ann's High School and retired from the Haband Company. She was a loving mother who always put the needs of others before herself.

Surviving is a son, Harold McDonald, with whom she resided; two grandchildren, Jennifer Scaringi and her husband Anthony of Throop, and Thomas McDonald of Scranton; two great grandchildren, Ariel Matticks and Rico Scaringi, both of Scranton; and several nieces and nephews who referred to her as "Aunt Rose".

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Gallagher, and a sister, Mary Louise Gallagher.

Services will be private with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Avoca.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
