Ruth Gabriel, 78, of Tunkhannock, passed away February 26th at home. Born in Tunkhannock on April 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Lois (Steinruck) Zona. Ruth loved spending time with family and summer vacations at the beach. She enjoyed cooking, and spaghetti and meatballs was her most popular dish to make. She liked blue grass festivals, enjoyed watching NASCAR, and dale Earnhardt was her favorite driver. Ruth also loved gambling trips to casinos in NJ, NY and CT. She also was a dedicated bingo player. She is survived by her daughter Donna and husband Mark Kinney, son Arthur and wife Georgia Ball, all of Tunkhannock, and son Richard Ball of Pittston. Five grandchildren, Tara Bujunda, Jennifer Ball, Heather Kinney, Lisa Ball and A.J. Ball Jr., and three great-grandchildren Owen Atwater, Logan Ball, and Sofia Bujunda. Private funeral services were held at 11 am on Monday February 29th from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with interment in Sunnyside Cemetery Tunkhannock.
