Ruth Paznonski, Clarks Green, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at home on Saturday afternoon after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's. She was preceeded in death by her husband Anthony Paznonski in 2014.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Lancavage Vasky. Prior to retirement, she was an antique dealer and a member of the Church of St. Gregory in Clarks Green.
Surviving are four daughters, Cindy Bunnell and her husband Jonathan, Clarks Summit, Tracy Sweeney and her husband James, Clarks Green, Stephanie Wasilchak, Clarks Summit, and Ruthie Smith and her husband Michael, Clarks Summit; eight grandsons, Kyle, Jimmy, and Greg Sweeney, Troy Bunnell, Justin and Jordan Wasilchak, Michael and Matthew Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Stanley Vasky and three sisters, Frances Gesford, Carol Artley, and Mary Harvey.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Gregory. Interment will follow at the Clarks Green Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the church.
A special thank you to all her caregivers and nurses throughout the past few years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
