Sandra J. Chylak Tenio

Sandra J. Chylak Tenio of Clarks Summit passed away on August 3, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Albert.

Born in Olyphant, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Julia Chylak and a graduate of Olyphant High School.

Sandra was a gifted seamstress. After working many years in the garment industry, she began sewing beautiful pillowcase dolls, which she both sold and gifted to many family and friends.

Sandra is survived by her sons Ronald Tenio (Sindee) of Coram, NY and Richard Tenio (Kim) of Ransom Township, PA; and a daughter Sharon Steiner (George) of Harrisburg, PA; seven grandchildren: Amber Sheridan (Colin), Jeremy Tenio (Kristina), Keri Tenio, lissa (Randy) Daley, Shannah (Ryan) Waters, Tyler Steiner, Carly Steiner; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Paul Chylak.

A blessing service will be held on Monday, August 14th at 1 PM at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State Street., Clarks Summit. Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Jessup, PA.
