Sean Maloney

Sean Maloney, 52, of Scranton died Friday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of Ann Marie Maloney, Newton Township, and the late Gerald Maloney. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a 1988 graduate of Abington Heights High School, attended Penn State University, and earned his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Entomology from East Stroudsburg University.

Sean was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan who also liked gaming. He was a beekeeper, a nature lover, and had a fondness for animals.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Maloney of Dalton; significant other Kelly Zaltauskas of Scranton; daughters Sierra, Montana, and Madison; son Hunter; brother Kelly Maloney of Maryland; and nephew Connor.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brooke.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
