Sheila Anne Kochmer, 76, of Clarks Summit passed away on June 28, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Sheila was born to Mary and Frank Heffron in Scranton on July 5, 1946, and was a beloved sister to her nine siblings.

Sheila was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in West Scranton and Marywood College.  After receiving her degree, Sheila met the love of her life, Victor J Kochmer, with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage in November.  Sheila and Vic were blessed with three children – Gabriel, John Francis and Jennifer.

In addition to her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Sheila, side-by-side with Vic, was an entrepreneur who owned and ran several successful businesses throughout her life, including Command Performance hair salons and Management Recruiters.  Sheila and Vic were avid aviators and managed the Wyoming Valley Airport in the early 1970's.  They were members of the Factoryville Sportmen's Club and enjoyed competitive shooting.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was predeceased by brothers John, Francis, and Patrick Heffron, sisters Irene Murphy, Rosemary Zack, Catherine Gilbride, Regina Balmer, and son John Francis Kochmer.  Sheila is survived by her husband, Victor; her son, Gabriel and his wife Marcia Bockol of East Quogue, New York; her daughter, Jennifer London of Rotterdam, New York; her six grandchildren – Mason, Ava, Farah, Tyler, Brynn, and Miles`; sisters, Ellen Franco and Mary McAndrew, Scranton; and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Friends may call  at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 South State Street, Clarks Summit on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.  A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 9 am at St. Patrick's Church, 1403 Jackson Street, Scranton.  Those who wish to remember Sheila in a special way may make gifts in her name to Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center (www.mskcc.org).
