Shirley Jean Ferrario

Shirley Jean Ferrario, 92, of Clarks Summit passed away January 30, 2023. She was the wife of James Francis Ferrario, her husband since July 15, 1950.

Born July 5, 1930 in West Scranton, she was the daughter of Charles and Katherine Carson. Shirley was a 1948 graduate of West Scranton High School and founded Northeastern Envelope Company with her husband and moved to Clarks Summit. Shirley enjoyed traveling the country, especially spending time with her family in Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach. She and Jimmy loved country line dancing and playing cards with their friends.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, James; her daughters, Laurie (Jacque) Fletcher of Clarks Summit PA, Eileen (Terrence) Burke of Clarks Summit PA; her grandchildren, Amanda (Jamie) White of Hilton Head Island SC, Erin (James) Tallarico of Rockville Centre NY, Terrence (Ashley) Burke of Clarks Summit PA, Carson (Sean) Judge of Hingham MA, Kaitlin Fletcher of Clarks Summit PA; 14 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine O'Brien.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the wonderful care given by Jonathan and his team at Allied Hospice, and the staff at Abington Manor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 8 ^th at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 310 South State Street, Clarks Summit, with services by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn, pastor.
