Thomas Wilson

Thomas R. Wilson, 70, of Tunkhannock passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Embassy of Tunkhannock. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ameila (Corby) Wilson.

Born on September 1, 1954, in Wilkes-Barre, he is the son of the late Mason and Jane (English) Wilson.

He attended Tunkhannock High School. Thomas had a fulfilling career as a truck driver for FCI, where he devoted 20 years of his life before retiring in 2018.

He found joy in the great outdoors, particularly through hunting and riding his ATV. His enthusiasm for driving extended beyond his career; he relished the open road and the freedom it represented. Shopping was another of his cherished activities.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Tom Wilson, Mike Wilson, Nick Wilson, Jake Zalewski, Tim Zalewski, James Zalewski, Bobby Zalewski; daughters, Tammy Gavek and Amy Cegelka; brother, Bill Wilson; sisters, Kathy Wilson and Virgina Hawk; 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by brothers, David Wilson and Howard Wilson.

Family and friends are invited to attend Thomas' funeral services which will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM from the Marcho, Sheldon, and Kukuchka Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will be held in South Eaton Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.
