Vincent Bowers

Vincent Bowers, 57, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born on September 18, 1966 in Philadelphia, he is the son of the late James and Elizabeth (Gorski) Bowers. He was a 1985 graduate of Tunkhannock High School.

Vince embraced adventure and sought comfort in exploring the great outdoors. His passion for biking was unmatched as he could often be seen riding his bike wherever he went. Whether it was a leisurely cruise through town or an exhilarating ride along rugged trails, Vince reveled in the sensation of the wind rushing through his hair as he immersed himself in the beauty of nature.

Hiking was another activity that allowed Vince to connect with the world around him. He embarked on countless journeys through mountains and valleys, finding peace among towering trees and serene landscapes. The quiet moments spent in nature were cherished by Vince as they provided an opportunity for self-reflection and appreciation of life's simple pleasures.

In addition to biking and hiking, Vince found joy in riding his four-wheeler. The thrill of adventure coursed through his veins as he fearlessly maneuvered through off-road terrains. These moments of excitement helped him forge lasting memories with family and friends who shared in his zest for exploration.

Vince possessed a unique talent for fixing things. Known for his resourcefulness and keen eye for detail, he could transform broken items into fully operational treasures. Vince approached each problem with patience and determination until it was resolved. His proudest accomplishments were the countless instances where he was able to breathe new life into objects that others had deemed irreparable.

He is survived by brothers, Daniel Lees and wife Amy, Donald Lees, David Lees and wife Barbara, James Bowers, Jr. and wife Joanne; sisters, Donna O'Donnell, Michelle Ganley, Theresa Bowers, Dianne Bowers, Betty O'Breint; son, Vincent Bowers; daughter, Brianna Bowers.

He is preceded in death by brother, Eugene Bowers.

Family and friends are invited to attend Vince's memorial service which will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 6:00PM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657, with Pastor Brian Williams presiding.

A visitation will be held from 5:00PM until the time of service.
