Warren E. Watkins

Warren E. Watkins, 90, of Clarks Summit died August 26, 2022 at Allied Skilled Nursing, Scranton. He is survived by Phyllis Dolsen Watkins, his wife of 68 years.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Burton and Mariam Robenthan Watkins. Warren was a Veteran of the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he worked at Akzo Salt and, since 1974, was the caretaker of the Clarks Green Cemetery. Warren was a member of Clarks Green United Methodist Church, Clarks Summit Fire Company, Rotary Club of the Abingtons, St. David's Society of Pittsburgh, and held numerous other municipal/local government positions.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Betsy Warburton and Amy Watkins; granddaughter Alicia Kinney and her husband Patrick; great grandchildren Zack, Zoey & Andrew Kinney; and brother Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Burton Watkins Jr..

His family would like to thank the staff at Allied Skilled Nursing, Timothy Rowland, John Morrison & all those who helped his family during his illness.

A funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Clarks Green Methodist Church, 119 Glenburn Road, Clarks Green with services by Reverend James Hollister. Interment to follow at Clarks Green Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
