William F. Ambagais, Sr.

William F. Ambagais Sr. went to be with his wife, 5 March 2025. Ethel preceded him in 2022. They were married 74 years.

Born on January 1,1927 in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Gustavous and Sophia Klotz Ambagais. Bill was a Veteran of the US Army and, prior to retirement, worked as a supervisor at General Dynamics.

He loved fishing, hunting, bowling, and, most recently, his computer games and watching the birds from the sunroom. Dad loved going up in the woods on his John Deere just riding around.

Surviving are 3 children: William F. Ambagais Jr., Clarks Green, daughters Frances Bossert, Houston TX and Catherine Ghent, New Milford, PA; six grandchildren: Brande and Jaime of Scranton, Melody and Stephanie of TX and Jonathan of TX and Christopher of New Milford; seven great grandchildren: Kyle, Paige, Ben, Sam, Lucas, Jaxson and Carson; brother James of DE; and sister Helen of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by a brother George.
