William Corby

William E. Corby Jr., 65, of Monroe Township passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vickie (Joyce) Corby.

Born on August 28, 1958 in Wilkes-Barre, he is the son of William and Shirley (Howell) Corby Sr.

He was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School class of 1976 and went on to serve our country in the United States Army from 1976 to 1980.

He found joy in hunting, fishing, and tending to his vegetable garden. His appreciation for nature extended to his love for art and drawing, where he often captured the beauty, he saw around him. Bill also had a musical side, enjoying playing the guitar in his free time. Additionally, he found excitement in watching NASCAR races.

Bill's proudest accomplishments always involved spending quality time with his family and friends. His warm smile and kind heart brought comfort and happiness to those around him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Justin Corby, Randy Miller and wife Angel; daughter, Samantha Corby; sisters, Sherry and Lori Corby, Debbie Kozick; 8 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Corby; nephew, Daniel Kozick.

Funeral services will be held privately.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Compassionate Care Hospice.
