William Dieffenbach of Tunkhannock transitioned over on Monday, November 8th. He was born in Sayre, PA on January 13, 1942. Son of the late Lewis & Adelia Eberlin Dieffenbach. Bill was a 1960 graduate of Turnpike High School. He helped on the family farm until he graduated and then enlisted in the marines. He served his country as a radio operator. He then went to work for Proctor & Gamble for 27 years before retiring. His love of photography and travel lead him to visiting all 50 states, most of Europe, and parts of South and Central America gaining many friends along the way. Bill loved helping family & friends, but most of all he was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by siblings, Erleau and wife Florence, Percy and wife Mary, Rex and wife Ernestine, Ruby and husband Edward Anjeski, Bud and wife Dorothy, brother George, and great grandchildren Carlie Lutchkus and Owen Gilbert. Surviving are wife Eva, daughter Natalie Gerfin and husband Dave of Massachusetts, daughter Gretchen Lutchkus of Ronks, PA, daughter Heather Jones and husband Lyle of Meshoppen, son Barrett and wife Marina of Florida, grandkids Daniel Gerfin and wife Nicole of Connecticut, Dillon Gerfin and wife Dana of Massachusetts, Chase Lutchkus and fiancé Brittany Oatman of Ronks, PA, Michael Felder of Lancaster, PA, Corrina Felder and fiancé Alex Gilbert of Columbia, PA, Erin and Nathan Fine of Texas, Lilyanne Fine of Florida, Evan William and Lexi Jones of Meshoppen, great grandkids Carter, Caden and Paisley Lutchkus, Caleb Gerfin, and soon to be here Jazziah Gilbert. There will be no services per Bill’s request. Arrangements and care entrusted to Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Bill to Seven Loaves Soup Kitchen, 51 Warren St, Tunkhannock, PA 18657 or sevenloaveskitchen.org.
