William J. Evans William James Evans of River Road Falls died Wednesday at the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock. He was born in Wyoming, Pa. on August 12, 1935 son of the later William H. and Georgiana Coolbaugh Evans. Bill was an Army Veteran and worked in the maintenance Department at St. Michael’s School Hoban Heights for 23 years. He was preceded in death by sisters Annabelle Wallace, Cora Butwin and Lela Mawson. Surviving is his wife of 42 years Jane Strunski Evans, son Frank of Elmhurst, Pa., daughter Melissa Smith of Lake Winola, sisters Myrtle Gozikowski of Falls, Vera Salerno of West Pittston, Ester Wall of Hanover Twp., 3 grandchildren and several Nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home , 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with Pastor GiDeon Giattino of the New Life Community Church, Dallas. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Calverton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8.
