William J. Grambo, 88, of Covington Township, died Wednesday morning at Geisinger CMC, Scranton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Ann O'Donnell Grambo, who passed in 1999.

Born in Dunmore, he was the son of the late Joseph William and Catherine Kelly Grambo. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School, a Veteran of the United States Army, and a proud member of the Teamsters, where he was a truckdriver for various companies.

William was an Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and hiking, who also enjoyed watching the Giants and the Yankees. He was truly a family man, always making time to attend all family events, especially his children and grandchildren's sporting, theater and music events.

Surviving are sons William (Marcy) of Connecticut, and Joseph (Karen) of Michigan; daughters Shelley Redding of Saucon Valley and Ann Jones and her husband Ron of Covington Township; sisters Marie Sarafinko of Scranton and Kathleen Getts of Taylor; grandchildren Casey, Morgan, Bill, Brianne, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Tara, Sean, Emma, Quinn, Alaina, Alec, and Adam; four greatgrandchildren, Elliot, Dylan, Wesley and Ryleigh; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Borgia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Church of Saint Gregory, 330 North Abington Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Interment with military honors will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.

Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit.
