William Paterson

William Paterson, South Abington Township, died on Sunday morning at his  home. His wife is the former Linda Mitchell Paterson. They married in 1985.

Born in Scranton, he was raised by his grandmother, Harriet Quinn and his aunt, Pauline Comerford. Prior to his retirement, he was a stockbroker for Stone Securities. He enjoyed kayaking, walking, movies, lunch with his brother, Sunday phone calls with his sister, and trips to Ocean City, New Jersey and Disney World.

Surviving are a son, Tim, of South Abington; daughter Katie and fiance Tom Piasecki of Texas; brother Paul Paterson and sister Kathleen Ciccotti, both of Scranton; granddaughter Piper Paterson; grand dog Luna; and grand cats Doc and Huckleberry.

A funeral will be held on Wednesday at 7 pm at Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 418 S. State Street, Clarks Summit. Friends may pay their respects from 4 pm until the time of the service.
