About - Lawrence E. Young
Lawrence E. Young Sr. and his wife, Lois, were searching for a place where they could build both a business and a family. Originally from Lititz, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country, they visited Clarks Summit and quickly knew it was where they were meant to be.
The people of Clarks Summit would go on to change their lives forever. In 1954, Larry began serving the area through the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, establishing a tradition of care, service, and commitment to the community.
In 1972, his son, Lawrence E. Young, known as Bud, joined his father in the business. He carried forward the same dedication to the families they served and continued that tradition until 2009.
Today, the Young family’s legacy continues with Stephen L. Young serving as supervisor, remaining present and dedicated to caring for families with the same personal commitment the funeral home was built upon.
